Wetsuits

Nov. 25th & 26th Aleeda is having a factory direct sale with minimum 35% off on all suits. I have nothing to do with them but I think they make great suits and do custom sizing. They can be reached at: www.wetsuitinfo@aleeda.com. There will be some good deals there.

Cool, thanks for posting that.  Kinda broke right now, but I always look for sales when I do have some spending cash.  Mmmm, I love the smell of a new wetsuit!

BUMP

I’m already fully equipped through next year, but thanks for the headsup on the sale anyway.

I have a killer Aleeda 3mm hooded vest that I wear under my 3/2 full suit starting in Fall.  Let’s me go deep into winter before I have to break out the 4/3.  Unfortunately, they seem to have dropped it from their line.

Let me add a sidebar/PSA as long as we’re on the topic.

Most of us probably use those plastic clothes hangers to dry our suits on.  Take a couple seconds to examine yours closely before using for this purpose: some have ragged litle protrusions of sprue and parting-line flash that don’t get dressed off before they leave the factory.  If not smoothed/sanded off, these defects can snag the lining of your suit and hasten it’s demise considerably.

Hey Dropknee, howzit? If you get some pipe insulation and wrap the hanger it will be much kinder to your suits. The open cell stuff for at least 1" pipe is good. It approximates the size of your shoulders and you won't get creases or snags.

Hope I'm in town for the Aleeda sale. You can't go wrong. They can make anything you want custom, even a new hooded vest. Never seen one of those before, I've had Xcel 1 mm. with lycra short sleeves that works great under the suit too.

ps. Huck, I hear you about being tight right now but I hope there will be some real deals on the bigger suits that don't sell out.

Good one: I’ll have to try that.  I’ve used that stuff for lots of other, non-standard applications, but it never occurred to me to use it on wetsuit hangers. Thanks.
