WETSUITS

hey all, I know this has nothing to do with board building, but I thought I would share this with you all. I just had a tremendous experience, with a great company. Last March I needed a 5/4/3 suit for the cold Nova scotia spring/fall. Of course being thrifty, I really didn't want to spend a fortune. So I found this website Ocean24seven.com and had a look at the suits. They are from the UK, so I figured it would cost a fortune to ship. One thing that really drew me in was they accept paypal and me being the ebay junky I am (with a few buck sitting in paypal), well that looked good to me. So.. off I order. I got an inexpensive suit made by SWARM ( formerly known as typhoon I guess, and supposed to be linked to bodyglove?!!?) and for under $150 (canadian) delivered to my door withing 7 days. WOW. Well I used the suit about 6 or seven times in the spring. seemed pretty decent actually. I took it out a week and a half ago, and went to head out in the late fall swell, when I zipped up ( back zip) it caught and tore 2 teeth out of the zipper and the zip right off the zipperd teeth.. NO WAVES for me! :(. Called around to a few shops and said they knew people that could fix it for about $40-$60, But i had to supply the zipper. Well I looked around for a proper replacement zipper and no go. So I emailed the guys at ocean24seven to ask if they would sell me a zipper. The guy ( DUNCAN) asked what happen and I told hoim the story. He said " I see you have weather coming your way and can't keep you out of the water" so he says he'll look around for a zipper, but in the mean time will send me a GUL 5/4/3 suit as a replacement at NO COST!( and send the zipper later so I can fix my swarm whenever).

Well I tell you I have never been treated like this.. in the mail today ( 6 days later) I recieved my new GUL suit!! I love it. and yes they will be getting my future business. I'm surfing tommorrow!

Anyone else have great stories like this?

Thanks for reading.

I'm used to getting service like that except I get it from the local surf shop.  Probably not an option in the arctics thought.  Ha!

regardless of wether it is a surf shop or a online retailer that is very good service. A lot of people perfer supporting their local shops, but I understand that in some geographic regions that is very difficult.

That is great service.  Hyperflex is in New Jersey.  they know how to make a coldwater suit at a great price.
