Hi All, I want to shape a 9’0" for all around surfing in 2’ to 6’ waves, but I cant decide what blank or rocker I need for a good utility longboard. Also would a 2+1 fin set-up be better than a tri-fin? Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thank’s, Scott.

Of these three, I’ve had the best results with the 91Y. It had what the guys at Clark Foam were calling “Bottom Centered” rocker. I’ve just followed the existing rocker and the 3 boards that I have shaped off of this blank have worked pretty good. I can’t tell you what fin set up would be the best…everyone is different. I’ve gone from the thruster set up through the 2+1 and now use a 9 1/2" single fin. This came about when I started riding my longboards in a more traditional style. More walking and noseriding as compared to trying to ride it like a shortboard.
