since the “balsa skin tape topic” is so hot i thought i would get a thread going about what people are putting under their skins…
be sure to reference what type/weight foam your using and if your talking about the top or bottom…
Tape the balsa together with white cotton athletic tape.
10’ Longboard was 6oz E with epoxy under & over.
6’ fish was 4oz E with epoxy under & over.
So a cross section would be:

My 8 footer is being done about the same way as Benny’s. I’m still not sure whether I’ll use botton tape or cheap tape, but I’m pretty sure next time that I’ll try your method.
