What John wrote

we can learn from anyone, even people you think are grumpy, and, maybe, they might be the stoked people ever, you just need to listen with an open mind

I don’t know who said it, but “speak your mind, even if your voice quivers”

GG - when did John pass? recently?

Spud ----  I’m with you. The past and all those one-off memories  are great.  But today is just as much fun.  Lowel

I will say though that I grew up surfing with a few guys that made John Scott look like a choir boy.  Ever heard of Hazard Canyon?? If you know;  You know.  I managed to get along with most of those SLO boys. Since some of my “Valley” Bros were full on 4x4  Pot Smugglers; a little Mexican Weed went far.  But old habits die hard.  To this day I still carry a Louisville Slugger under the seat.  Lowel

Funny though how people who may have visited a place once or maybe even actually paddled out;  pass themselves as a local by dropping names like they actually hung out with those in question. Not intended for you Griffin.

Everyone for over the last 30 years has enjoyed the benefits of John’s not being “happy” with what was going to be  done at Lighthouse Point .

A “happy” person would do nothing and let it be ruined .  :-)

Mostly these days I use that BB bat to do “spiral- vee’s”.

I am 66 , very happy with that .

Again for reference what is your age McDing ?

Old enough to know better.  Young enough to not give a shit. Like the Stones said;  “Time Waits For No one”.  HD McDing

Just wondering what you base your posts on .

Age matters in what you personally know .

First response I got on this thread was yours :

“Saw it when he did it. So what’s your point??”

You are too young to personally  know - first hand -much of what I post here , yet challenge it instantly .  :-)

Its why you keep not answering  my simple question . How old are you ?  :-)

Spiral on  :-)

Does any one here remember the black boards John rode ?

Ha!
