what shape?

I’ll shape a board for a friend that is going to start learning to surf!!He dont want a long board and i was thinking about a 7’ - 8’ board, but i dont know what is the best shape for it…I want that the board catch small waves very easly and be able to do some easy maneuvers…

Give me some ideas, numbers and pics if possible…

7’6" x 22.5, 16" nose, 16" tail, main single fin, small side bites, 3" thick for 160 lbs., flat to V bottom, round pin tail.

Set wide point just back of center for easier wave catching, as tail can pick up earlier than with WPoint forward versions.
