hey, I just picked up a Milwaukee 7-9’’ grinder 0-6000rpm. I checked the archives but couldn’t find what I need to know. What types of pads do you use to sand the hotcoat? sizes, color, thickness, brand, softness… any info at all will help alot. also, do you have to use “power pads” meant for surfboards or can you use other kinds of pads? thanks so much!
visit a few different auto paint suppy shops, you should see a few brands and styles. you want to get one that you use sheet sandpaper and adhesive not a hook-it type. get one of each hard med and soft. I started with soft and bought the others as I got the cash.
…Sean,I make my own,and have been for several years.I also supply some of the local builders you know of ,like Ricky Mitchell, and Joe Sauter. …Power pads, start with a soft 8" and a med 6".The super softies are great too!Herb
Hey Herb what do the pads cost? maybe you could make some Thanks Mark
Herb, Maybe we can get together the next time you come down to see the family? Mark
