what would you do in this situation...

ok so i was running out of lam resin but i THOUGHT i had enough. so i proceeded to lam the deck. well obviously i didnt have enough to wet out the whole deck. so now just the middle-ish part of the deck was laminated and no resin left. what would you have done at this point? i removed the whole thing at that point so the board is saved but what would have happend if i left the layers on? could it have been wetted out with resin again?

well i guess if your blank is still pretty clean of resin after pulling off the cloth you might have made a good choice, except 4 wasting that little bit of cloth. ive never had the chance to try to halfway lam a board and come back a few days later and finish…so i dont know how that would have turned out…all i can say is when you try again im pretty shure its best not to hope you have enough…be shure you have more than enough.

yes, but start with the bottom first… always the bottom first,´cause the laps…

the bottom was already laminated

mix a batch of lam,hot ,squegee the deck filler coat… then hot coat with the surfacing agent …sand and glass the resin consumption drops the surface of the deck is so perfect…60 grit is enough establish a bondable surface , wiil keep from displaying scratches and strength is accelerated to the next zone…Ive put this step in on about the last half dozen and colored the filler…the sanding makes some art project revelations…sand arround to bond the overlap…Ive sanded the boards 3 times before the gloss, muy solido… ambrose… colors look bitchin under the clear lam

What about the laps? I’ve glassed my last two boards deck first and they’ve turned out great, smoother bottom.
