What's it cost to do a board with APS?

Anyone done it for a one-off board? What’s the ballpark cost?

If you design the file, it will cost you 51 bucks to cut an 8’7" to 9’6". If your file is hideous, I’ll charge you a dollar a minute to fix it. If you want us to design or map a board (that you have shaped yourself or one that you have permission from the shaper to have mapped) it will cost you 200 bucks for the design (on boards over 8 feet) and cut with unlimited free revisions of the file until you are happy with it.

Do I supply the blank or do you? So, assuming I would supply a blank, it would cost me about $200 for a 9’6"?

To map a board over 8 feet will cost you 200 dollars. Cut included, but blank is not. I’m a little bit out of the way for you. You should probably talk to Chris Russel in San Diego or Jerry Okeefe in OC. If you want to keep the price down, download the software, go through the tutorials and design the file yourself. Then, with me, it’s 51 bucks for the cut on your 9’6", standard cut. For a fine cut it will run you 59 bucks. I may be a buck or so higher on the cuts than some of the other operators. I have blanks, of course. I mark them up a HUGE 5 bucks from my invoice/cost.

Yeah, that’s what I meant…

I laready have a few boards done up in Aku Shaper, so I guess I’d need to buy the blank (about $150 or so) and have them cut it (Around $60 or so)…I’ve already sent Chris an email.

And here I thought you were going to take it easy shaping this board, not stress about getting it perfect…

That lasted what – 6 hours?

;>) just teasin’

A number of times. Pay about the same price as what you’ve been quoted by the sounds of things. Wrightsville glassing have some prices for their APS on their website too from memory.
