I am fixing a delam on a red airbrushed board. I hear there is this stuff called cabosil that functions like q-cell but dries clear instead of that ugly white color. Where can I buy this stuff?
Ok, old chap, first off cabosil ( aka aerosil and others) does mix with resin to make something that looks a lot like foam: ugly white color. Nothing except resin dries clear. Any good sized boat repair suppliser or boatyard that does fiberglass work should have some.
However, if you put the stuff ( aerosil/cabosil mix ) under the delammed glass, it can look pretty good, as the foam that sticks to the glass is where the airbrushing is anyways and the color is preserved.

Would milled fibers work to thicken but still stay semi-translucent? Or, would turn it turn cloudy and opaque?
