We all shape for different surf conditions. Lets have a look at where you surf. The pictures always show a small part of each surf-break,but how about showing us more of where you surf ? Point the camera down the beach or back towards the land. Show us the beach, the suburb of your local break.
Let me start with a side shot of Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia.

Lokking South.
The Northern end, where this pic is taken from, is called Queenscliff.
Please include the Country, State, “Name of Break” and any peculiarities. ( why you like it). If you want to…
Regards, the sock-puppet. (Thanks for blowing my cover surfer_dave ! )
The actual name of the break is Parlementia and it is actually situated in Bidart, not Guéthary. But when you talk about Guéthary, this is what everybody thinks of.
Same break, seen from the south and at low tide:
Looking south, Les Alcyons (a rocky hollow left) and Cenitz (ask MPcutback about it):
I love this thread…Riddim took care of showing you the surf spot. Here’s my full redneck pic. In order of importance: That’s my wife, my dog, my boat, my truck, and my house (yeah, I even had the neighbor take that for me). She’d kill me for putting this up. I had to pull it from somewhere else, because her family (from Ohio) were making fun of my redneckness.
San Clemente, SoCal… I get on everything, but spend most of my time trolling here…
looking south to Churchs
right where the trail dumps you out
lowers and the zoo
north towards Uppers and Cottons
I spend most of my time on this point, Its probably my favorite place in the world. The smell of sage, the damp air, the wildlife… rolling down the trail with coffee in hand (this is all a 15 minute bike from the house)… its hard not to start days here with a smile
I go to San Onofre when I want to teach friends to surf, or just hang out in the water allllll day in the summer time. I do alot of SUP here as well, you can float alot of breaks south to trails and not piss anyone off
San Onofre is extremlly fun in the summer time, I love all the little groms and father daughter tandem duos… J and I tandem there and its a blast…
I live about a 5 minuter walk down the hill to the pier bowl in San Clememte too… Tstreet and the pier both get pretty good surf…
If you come to town, dont plan on surfing better than 90% of the groms here and they’ll back paddle and catch every wave in striking distance too. You also have to watch the bodyboarders too, they’re everywhere and VERY good…
looking north at the pier, it gets fun and hollow
So thats where I live, slide through and Id love to show you around.
Most of the boards I shape or buy for here are alot flatter and fuller throughout. THe waves arent hawaii vertical (most places) and I enjoy the paddling abilities…
