Is RENO ABELLIRA shaping boards and where is he ? just general curiousity . i met him in the early eighties once . nice guy .
Last time I checked-about 5 months ago, he was shaping for San Miguel Surfboards under his brand name, “Reno Abellira Hawaii Surfboards”. It is a surf shop off of the main strip of the tourista district in Ensenada, Baja California, MX. He is such a cool guy. Supposedly he still lives north of Ensenada.
On the second thought, he’s a whack case. Yesterday he was driving a motor scooter around while clad in tight spandex shorts
and an unbuttoned aloha shirt. He is the most flamboyant straight guy I ever met.
