Who Is Coming To The Foam E-Z 20 Year Anniversary Extravaganza?

So hopefully by now you all have heard.  We are having a big blowout party this **Saturday June 1st 10am and 3pm** in the parking lot behind **Foam E-Z**.  There is going to be a ton of cool stuff going on for all to see.

There will be live music by the **Jimbonaires**, **FREE **burgers and hotdogs, **FREE **Pop Chips and Vitamin Waters, a bounce house for the kiddies, and lots of **FREE **swag. ** Tim Stamps from** **Stamps Surfboards**, **Jeff “Doc” Lausch from Surf Rx**, **Tom Balestar of Balestar Designs** will be shaping LIVE throughout the day in the **Future Fins “Fish Bowl” Shaping Bay**.  Getting the day shaping started promptly at 10am will be Tom Balestar. When Tom is done shaping (approximately 11:30am) Tim Stamps will enter the Fish Bowl and start shaping his new **fX Model Quad/Five Fin**.  This board will be raffled off when it’s completed around 1:30pm.  At high noon we will be raffling off a custom designed Surf Prescriptions board.  The winner will have the opportunity to sit down and design the board right at our party on the computer with Doc Lausch!  Then the shaper will bring the cut blank back to the party and finish shape it in the Fish Bowl at 2pm.  While all this stuff is going on **Drew Brophy** will be doing pen art on party goer’s boards.  And last but not least we will be having a **10% OFF Sale **on everything in the shop!

Whew… I never thought I could spew all this stuff into such a small area!  So to recap, that is three boards raffled off, free food and swag, live music, and 10% off everything.  Hope you can make it.

See you there!

Brad

We’re there!

Brad,

If there is no conflict is the ‘‘family calendar’’ I will drop by the event.     Hell, the 10% off, is worth the drive.    Throw in a free burger, and it’s a no brainer!

Jeff Laucsh, and his brother Stork are classics, and Balestar is a legend.  Drew is a great artist, and his wife Maria and even better business mind and marketeer.   I bet you can pick up some good shaping tips, as well as paint penning tips if you attend.  Doesn’t seem like 20 years.

That’s better!!!  A much better pic upload!

Good talkign to you Bill today.  I will have one of our new Soft Shaping Pads for you to add to your collection and test for us.  Hope to see you here Ghetto Rat, yeah 20 yrs… it’s been a long strange trip for sure!  Better bring your camera Steve.

Brad

I’ll bring the board voted ‘‘Most High Tech.’’

…hey Brad, may be you can make a clip showing interesting stuff that would going on for the guys like me that are too far from your shop.

I mean, not a 2 minutes edited one that in reality do not show anything and is only like a promotional thingy. More in the Swaylocks spirit, to provide some cool tips here and there or show a good technique or a good work protocol…may be an interview, etc

A clip with content not a couple minutes thingy; may be put the camera and let it roll meanwhile a shapers shape…or like that

Bill, I hope you can bring those boards that you had at the first Cerritos Composite seminar, (and some more recent gems).

Only one day left until the Party at Foam E-Z!  Everything is basically all ready now just add shapers, party goers, Drew Brophy, etc…  Below is the Time Line for the day.  As you can see there are going to be some awesome boards given away and some great shaping going on in the Futures Fish Bowl Shaping Bay.  See you tomorrow…

Brad,

My calendar is clear, so I’ll be there .       I’ve not been to your store before.    I’m looking forward to checking out your digs.  I’m sure I’ll be like a kid in a candy store!    See you tomorrow.

Reverb,

That was my first visit to Brad’s store.    Good selection of products and tools.Without question , my favorite is the hard and soft foam sanding blocks, with velcro to attach various grits of sanding screen.    It is, in a word, outstanding!    Met some new Swayfolks, which is always fun.    Herb Spitzer was there.     So I got the ‘‘secret foil fin’’ back from him, and have just applied the SharkSkin texture to it, for an added boost in performance.    The live band was quite talented.    Good ‘‘surf music.’’    All in all, a good time event.       Thanks Brad.

Thanks Bill and all who attended.  Reverb there is a video being edited but I have no idea how much detail it will have.  I hope it gives a great slice of the party with interviews, shaping, and more.  If you attended then you know it was going off!

Larry Bertlemann, that’s right THE Rubber Man, was there and chatting it up with everyone.  What a great personality and very approachable.  Drew Brophy was his usual spectacular self, bringing pen art to life right before the party goers eyes.  Balestar, Stamps, and Doc in the Futures Fish Bowl Shaping Bay was an awesome site to see.  Those guys were really tested as the lighting sucked, it was about 100 degrees inside, no air hose, and hundreds of people starring in from point blank range.  It was awesome to have Chad “The Lad” Wells as our MC, he knows how to fire up a crowd.  We gave out so much free stuff thanks to all the vendors.  Thanks to the beautiful Ivie for working the raffle booth, we are donating $500 bucks to Surfrider Foundation.  The Jimbonaires were sending out killer music vibes like Bill said.  Food I hope was ok, since I didn’t get a chance to eat…  My old buddy, and Swaylocks Legend Herb Spitzer spent the better part of the day perusing the party.  So much more but I’ll stop dribbling for now.  If any other Swaylockians were there and want to give a synopsis of the party please chime in.

I want thank the Foam E-Z Crew for all that they did to help prepare for this and help make the day amazing.

Thanks again for all the support we really couldn’t do it without you guys!

Check our FB Page for pictures from the party, thanks to Kitty Willis.

Brad

Here is a link to a photo album from the party.  It gives a great respresentation of what was going on.  Hopefully will make you feel like you were there even if you weren’t!

Thanks again for all the support!

No, Bill managed to go unphotographed during the event.

It's not a fin template.  It's a "Vegie-burger" patty.

Hi Ambrose and Bill-

I found a great picture of Bill on the cover of this short video of the band from the party.  It’s a short way down the page tittled “A little sample of the tunes from the party! Thanks to the Jimbonaires…”

Sorry that’s the best pic I could find.
