Tyler Hatzikian gets my vote, I love his boards too
I can’t vote for anyone that wears a beavertail in 2008.
Ha Ha
Nat is Nat and that is that.

Nobody backed me up on Dobson. Alright, I can deal with that. It's not like he's my buddy or anything, but the guy rips.
Here ya go…I used to live in North County about 35 (?) years ago and not only does Dale rip he does it frontside and backside in either regular or goofy foot stance on any board from big log to tiny fish. He may not be “the best” (is there such an animal?) but he is indeed an amazing surfer and very fine person…no fat ego in your face
i really dig alex knost’s style. it’s super unique and spontaneous and downright fun. on video he’s amazing but apparantely ‘live’ he’s absolutely ridiculous.
For the moment…a guy named Rob this AM at Malibu riding a step deck he made himself!!

Dino Miranda is the best I’ve seen.
Apparently Josh Constable is the current world champion, how do you rate him?
he was world champ in 2006, last year brazillian Phil Rajzman won it.
Josh goes alright and is pretty handy on the sups too.
Christian Pimm also gets a vote
aswell as Harrison Roach and
Cameron Gray
Wow, Mikey’s getting some exposure, cool. I haven’t seen him surf since he moved from basically the end of my street. I always thought he should travel more and get some exposure. He is a good longboarder. Florida guys have it tough on finding local, quality longboard surf. Last I saw, he was killing it on one of Steve Forstall’s quad longboards just before the US open.
I agree on the first reply though, four years later.
4 years on!
…also mikey detemples drop knee cutbacks are amazing!
TERRY BYRNE
He’s been in a fair few aussie mags lately. landed the cover shot of eastern surf too recently, i think he’s been to the maldives and aus recently aswell. great surfer. I like the fact he doesnt pose like every other kid trying to be al knost.
greg brown, gash surfboards.
longboards, shortboards, stand ups, large waves, small waves, whatever… he rips…
Hey Harry
Josh Constable rips the bag on nearly all equipment but my favorite would have to be Harley Ingelby. Not just because he’s one of the local crew here but I’ve watched him for years competing against the best and he just has the complete speed /smooth /progressive / traditional combo. Plus he rips on those little Tolhurst quads and singles.
Cheers

Still in the B’s
photo’s Jamie Hawaiian Water Shots
the last longboarder to get out of the water.
Well if your going to bring Ray Gleave into this I suppose Wayne Dean should be mentioned too. I’d really love to see those two in a competition. I know they have, I’ve just never seen it. I really like the idea the regular working guy who surfs when he can and still tears it up. I’ve never beet too interested in pro surfing.
Hey Spud
Most longboard “pro surfers” are regular working guys. probably a handfull worldwide making a decent living off surfing and they are maybe not the best around.
We have 5 pro/semi pro longboarders in our local area (small north coast community) who are all workers/tradesmen. Their combined achievements include multiple State and Australian junior and senior titles , pro series wins and world titles ( 3rd last year Harley) and top ten world Jared Neal?
Makes the term pro seem fairly hollow for these guys and shows you it’s got nothing to do with money. I fully agree with the the call on Ray Gleave and Wayne Deane two of the best and great inspiration for us old farts!
Cheers

definately Alex knost. he shreds the hardest and has the sickes style

Not sure what Dino Miranda is up to these days but from what I’ve seen of him he doesn’t muck about.

Roy, we couldn’t get the grin off Tom’s face with a hammer and chisel, he is perpetually smiling, good on 'im
Bonga Perkins or Rusty Keaulana. They can tear it up in the biggest waves and they can do all the fun stuff you do on the little ones. Beau Young and Dino Miranda would be up there as well.
If you haven’t seen Rusty at Makaha you haven’t seen what he can do. He tears it up out there in both regular foot and goofy foot stance.
