Doesnt it seem that most short boarders have almost NO sense of humor? Seriously narcisstic, selfish grumps. Most spongers are disrespectful, sarcastic little jerk-offs. Fun boarders are in there somewhere, behaving like something between desparate, insecure and constipated. No big surprise! The few knee boarders Ive ever known were just plain weird. Old introverts. Alternative lifestyle anarchists. But the people who seem to be really comfortable with who they are, the world around them, and have a GREAT sense of humor are… you guessed it: LONGBOARDERS! Well, MOST of them. Therere just fun to be around! As long as we dont take ourselves too seriously, I believe there`s hope for the future of surfing.
You seem pretty -ing funny to me.
Next time you see a grumpy shortboarder take a look and see if he/she is getting burned over and over again by a longboarder, body boarder, etc. who is taking set wave after set wave from way outside then paddling around everyone to get the next one. All the while haveing a great time, oblivious to the fact they are being discourtious to others. @$$holes are determined by behavior not the size of their board or what its made of.
