Never ceases to amaze me that we get so many guests who are monitoring the site but don't register and get involved. Just checked and there's 13 registered members and 68 guests viewing now. Aloha,Kokua
I don’t know if, or how many others do it like I do, but I usually read the posts as a guest, and don’t log in unless I’m going to post something.
I know I could set it log me in automatically, but I’ve never really done that on any of the forums I visit. (All 3 or 4 of them.)
Lurkers … swaylurkers!!!
SwayLurkers. lol Good one. Guess I’m busted.
I don’t know if, or how many others do it like I do, but I usually read the posts as a guest, and don’t log in unless I’m going to post something.
Ditto! I check the new posts daily to see if there is any interesting/inovative (Bert’s stuff, composites, sharpening tools, etc.) info that I need to download into my brain so I can make better boards. I only log on if I have something important to contribute. Is that wrong? Should we ALWAYS log-on? Les
Never ceases to amaze me that we get so many guests who are monitoring the site but don’t register and get involved…
or…when they DO register ,the people who won’t even say where they’re from or if they have a first name … what , are they scared martians will abduct them or something ?
i always log on because then i can see what posts are new because they are highlighted. though there are usually hundreds of posts and i only get to a fraction of them.
You busted me Swaylurking !!!
I’ll log on more often.
Ray
I’m busted too… I never log in unless I want to say something.

Busted!! I’m a lurker from way back. I’m not really a newbie, I just don’t talk very much.

Hey, I just made user. Cool!!!
Beware, its not Martians. I just know when you log on the CIA uses their latest Patriot Act technology to read my thoughts. The only thing they get from me though is…sex, surf, sex, surf, sex, surf…just a 17 year old in a 47 year old body.Mike
I’m yet another Swaylurker but I can assure you i get involved… even if it’s only reading and digesting what everyone else is saying. I also only generally log in if I want to say something but I probably have a look 4 or 5 times a week.
Hey, I just made user. Cool!!!
I’ve been called an ‘addict’ , and a ‘user’ on this site . Even a cling on [‘barnacle’]. Among other things .
But I can assure you , the name that will fit me even less is when I’m called a “master” …[like the cliche says …“jack of all trades…master of NONE…”]
That said , when I was discussing my reservation[s] about the “master” label with a friend , he [rightly] said [and I quote]…
" maybe they could create a new “master” category just for YOU, Chip …master fart blaster " ! […beee-yootifullll !!]
Now , THAT I could wear on a T-shirt , or badge … with PRIDE !!!
… " let ‘er rip’ ! chip ‘’
like Roo[s]ter , a 17yo [or is that 12yo mind ? ] trapped in a 40 someting [44] year old body -----
It’s all those Chinese Manufacturer’s that Nels mentioned in his earlier post about the ASR trade show!! We’re screwed!
Howzit FishGuts, That’s one of the things I was wondering about when I started tthis thread, at least they are smart enough to come to the right place.Aloha,Kokua
Good day to all,
I also wish members would list their locations (it’s not like you need to tell everyone what street you live on), It’s just nice to be able to place different ones from this Swaylock family, mabe to go surfing on your next trip to where ever, talk about current swells, material shops, ect. Can’t make the connection without the info.
But, oh well.
P.S. “Guilty”, will log in every time now (it dosen’t take that long, and it’s kind of sad I get that lazy sometimes)!
Cody
well, guilty as charged…
will be logging on more…
long time lurker,
first time poster.
Guilty of Swaylurking…
I’m always reading the posts, and I usually don’t have anything to add, so I don’t log in.
There were almost 7000 new posts since I last logged in…
I’m guilty too. I’ve been a “Swaylurker” of the worst kind, an unregistered Swaylurker, for a while. Just registered recently, but old habits die hard…is there a twelve step program for Swaylurking?
Cheers!
Dave
