Who's the Magic Man?

I was checking an old post about twin fins and was curious about this guy named Magic man. I looked at surfenginez.com and was confused by the format. Are these for real? Or, are they some Cosco trip? I think someone is fooling us with trickery. I have always had a desire for one of those Nuuhiwa soul boards from 1970 /1971. It seems as if they have been around all this time, but I have been looking in the wrong places. Can anyone bring me up to speed on Mr. Magic so I can place my order. There is something in that outline that is such a dejavu for me. Thanks for your help. P

They can be seen at the beach house in Santa Barbara. They are supposed to be true to the dyno fish concept and look fun.>>> P

If you are interested, the David Nuuhiwa Eagle IV is being reproduced by Joel Tudor Surfboards in San Diego, Ca.This is the Dyno style twin fin fish produced in the early 70’s. Joel’s riding one right now (5’8"). They are very close to the original Nuuhiwa fish with some improvements to the design. For more info contact Joe Tudor at 858 350-9827.

What’s the cost of these new age copies? And, who is shaping them?

In this day and age of the 4oz, paper thin glass job, quality is not seen all too often. High Quality + Magic Shape = PURE STOKE …you get what you pay for and a glass job at clyde beatty’s shop is bullet proof and polished to perfection. Add that to Brom’s shape and you will feel the magic…

Thanks, Bro, I try!..Hey Steve, I had one of your shapes back in the late 70s. A 6’8" Beatty Rocket Fish. WOW, what a board. The thing ripped!!! I kick my self in the ass for selling it! If I had the bucks I’d be at your door begging you to shape me a new one.

Thanks Scott, once again, I appreciate all the wonderful things that have been said about the results of the years of focus I have invested in my craft. Your compliment today, thirty years later even, makes it all the more worth it. I can’t do anything about the prices now. I owe it to all the latest customers that have paid these higher prices to either maintain them, or increase them. so that the value of their investment remains intact. Thanks again, yours truly.

Your sleeves aren’t long enough, and your caps to small. We had to add a little extra thickness to your next board, and Oh By The Way, it’s going to cost a little more now! The Doc said he got your foot back out and when you wake up everything will be fine. It was just a bad dream, but there will probably still be a little swelling! Sorry

So, how have you progressed through the 80’s , 90’s, to the present? Also, how do you feel about a youngster like Joke Tuder selling Fish with David’s name on them? Hmm Something fishy is up there. It feels somewhat like that Evolution trip. $$$ goes round and round…

Ok,what’s he got to do with it?

Ok,what’s he got to do with it? >>>> Without going into great detail the boards that we are doing with David are based upon boards produced and surfed on by David in the early 70’s. There is also a longboard model (noserider). This post is to answer questions and inform people that have shown interest in this forum. It is NOT being used as a personal forum.
