Whose Signature is This?

This is custom made board in Florida.

 

Should be from the Cocoa Beach Area.

 

Year board was made is 1997 give or take a year.

 

Any idea who this signature belongs to?

I looked, and I don't recognize. Are there any labels on the board?

Mike, this board was one of two I ordered from Kurt down at Liquid Addiction in Lauderdale.

The first was a Ricky Carroll custom and the second was this one.

He had shown me the board he was riding, which was sweet, and I decided to have that same shaper shape the second.

For some reason I have the name Gene Rainbow ringing in my head but I never really registered whom it was he told me.

For what its worth, the board is awesome but I just want to know now who the shaper is.

Kurt closed the shop years ago and I have not heard from him or of him in quite a while. I tried e-mailing him years back but I never got a response.

So to answer your question, there is a Liquid Addiction logo on the underside of the board towards the fins. That’s it. Just like I ordered it.

Now I just did some searches and found out Gee Rainbow is Gordon “Gee” Rainbow owner of Escape Surfboards.

Not sure though, I do not recall ever seeing any boards under the “Escape” label.

Not sure who the shaper is either, signature does not look like G or R but then again my own signature looks like a 4 year old scribbled something.
