Will original tabbed FCS fins fit futures fin boxes

I’m wondering if I might be able to fit the original tabbed FCS fins into Futures Fin boxes on a 2nd hand board I’ll be getting soon. 

I’ve never had or known a lot about futures fin boxes/plugs. 

I think I might have had Futures side boxes/plugs about 10 odd years back in a mal. 

The shaper I was going to back then made his own hand laid etc… Fins with the compatible tabs cut out into the fin base like a heap of people were and probably still are doing. If these continuous rebate boxes were infact Futures. The FCS tabs did at the time fit.

This is with exception to the new tech FCS 2 system they’ve now revised/devised. 

So I’m keen to know if the current Futures boxes/plugs will fit an original tabbed style FCS fin. 

I don’t currently have a Red Tip fin or the board. So I thought I’d ask the question. 

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

First problem is  Futures the cant {fin angle} is in the fin. FCs its in the plug. So your 2 tabbed FCS fins would be running @ maybe 2 degrees vs 7 or so

 

2 how are you going to lock the fin in? no screw holes to sinch the 2 tabs in place.
