Windsurf quad vs surfboard quad

Hi,

I can’t stopp thinking about this. I think that it sounds quite strange that all the windsurf boards use. This set up. Bigger finf on the back.

why? Advantages over mc kee we use in surfboards. I was thinking that it could be give more stability, then should tow-boards have it?

I havent windsurfed in some years but it can see a big difference in wave boards shapes. More compact and some have a hullish nose bottom. Hype? Seen that the last naish model is back to longer outline, v on the bottom, three fins.  We hace heard this before in surfboards… Changing shapes and then back again, and again.

After some years without looking at this boards, but still the same, people ride what they are told that (maibe) works.

I came back to windsurfing, after 10 plus years away kiting. The new boards are way better and load the back fin way more than in the 90s. You really need the big fin back there to make these boards hold. They turn so darn fast, you don’t even have time to flip the sail!  You need reflexes like a cat.
