winter is coming...

what’s being built to get ready for winter?  I just made this 8’4" for my buddy “Coach” who is planning to surf Hanalei in December… thanks USBlanks, I really like way the custom stringer came out on this one, its cedar and basswood…other side of the board is a red resin swirl and thruster futures setup…

I’ve got a 6’10A waiting to be turned into something with enough foam to float a 45 year old wearing 20 pounds of rubber.  Our first real cold front hit yesterday and there was frost this morning for the first time.  Won’t be long and we’ll be in 5mm suits here.

Woohoo! My first thought, when I saw the title, was wetsuits. Then I said no, it’s gotta be a gun - yes! Very cool, beautiful board. Hope mako posts up some pics on his winter board too.

I’ve been on my 6’3" Griffin 5 fin SB LATELY BUT, It’s supposed to be 13 @ 15 tomorrow morning… Might have to break out the big board…

Stingray just gifted me a 7’6"EA USBlank… I’m thinking fungun / speed egg… Gotta get some resin and glass… could get it done within the next month.

Every thing about it looks top notch Keith. Your pin line and polish is impressive. Pin lining is my personal nemesis. New logo?

Thanks…its poly, not epoxy…getting the gloss coat shiny is not too hard.  Pinlines definitely take some effort though, I’ve been working on them for a while.  Yup, its a new(er) logo, used it on my own boards for while, but others started asking for it since they liked it better…it’s Point Loma at sunset, basically.   A Cliffs logo for the locals…

Nice Keith, that board is pretty smooth.

Just wondering what is the width and thickness on her?

I have a Thrailkill inspired 7’10 coming, hopefully I can finish by mid- November.

Nice Keith.

Is that a baby Squash, or Swallow tail?

Tough to see.

Clean and classy.

I forgot to say, the gun above looks great Keith! Very clean and classic! Coach will be stoked!!! I really like the new logo too

the  board is 22" wide (per rider’s request) and 3 1/8" thick…  baby squash tail, not a pin.  I think he’ll get to try it out today…
