I am doing some color work soon and I am wondering how to best clean my squeegee between passes? In the past I have used old rags and paper towels but that kinda sucked. I have heard you can use scrap pieces of fiberglass cloth but what is the best option?
Another squeegee?
If its a solid color board I just use my pointer finger and thumb to squeegee it clean. If its multiple color boards we will use multiple squeegees and paper towels. If it starts getting really dirty I will wash it with acetone in the middle of the glassjob. Hope that helps.

Thanks Austin. Your an inspiration.
No problem. Thanks for the compliment. Don’t be scared to pop some new gloves on if yours get mudded up! Good luck!

Keith Melville taught me a trick about gloves. Put more than one pair on and you just peel off a pair if it gets dirty. A lot easier and faster than trying to take off gloves and put another pair on.
hiya Harry !!
… you might like this , then ?
I buy the large sized disposable gloves , so I can wear ten on my right hand , when laying up fin panels [especially if they are a few different colours per 4 layers at a time . [ And , a few rollers used , too, to continue the ‘non-muddying’ theme of this thread …]
" it’s actually only so you can pretend to be in the ‘thriller’ film clip " , is what a mate back in Perth reckoned …
[ I never was a whacko jacko fan , truth be told]
I use my thumb and forefinger then I clean the gloves and squeegee with acetone one time toward of the end process. If you’re using disposable that would be a glove change.
