anyone had ago on the new bear wombat hows it ride good points bad points ???

I know it (wombat) is a stubby tri fin w/ box set up, kind of like a mini fun board around 6’-6’6".

I read somewhere that Beau Young claims it is his favorite board for all conditions.

Could you post some pics / dimensions? I am interested in making a similar board for myself.

Howzit Sandy, sounds just a board one of my shapers does called a “Berzerker” ,but they run from about 5’10" to 6’2". Round nose slight con into heavy double con tail. The guys that ride them love them and from what I’ve seen of them in the water they do work insane. I’ve done a bunch of them but never took any pictures so I’ll stop by and take some pics if he has any at the house or in the shop. Aloha,Kokua

yep thats the one!

that pic is No2 of them that was made the one we had in the shop was No1 both of them were supposed to go to beau for him to surf in the movie Hang, but he only took No2 with him so we bought it from the guys at bear.

its real wierd to ride i got a template off it before it got sold!!

Any suggestions on fin placement? I like the 2+1 idea, what about standard thruster setup?
