Howzit everybody, Looking for a resource to get a Wonder fin, a friend was doing a restoration on an old 60's board and somebody stole the fin and the board owner is going thru the roof about it and is actually threatening to file charges against him unless he can come up with a replacement. theres a guy who makes hansen/waveset/wonderbolt fins but they are 150 a pop, i forget the website url, a bunch of people have it
Hay kokua, it the Wonder Fin the one with the big SS bolt that runs through the board into the fin?
Howzit Bagman, Not sure since I haven't seen the board, but it was the fin that was on the Con CC Rider and i think Webers had them. I'm sure it was used with the Wonder fin box and had a Wonder Bolt to hold it in place. Next time you come over you should come in Oct.,we've had 2 back to back over head swells in the last week. Good call kokua, I have been there in Oct. and got it good. I just don’t want it toooo good. I’m not into riding your 4 to 6 foot waves(read here 12 to 15 foot faces) anymore, I like it a little smaller. Steiny has the call on this one. I now remember what the wonder fin is, had a brain fart there for a min. What was the fin called that had the bolt through the board and into the fin? I know Hobie, and Hansen used them, I’m not sure who else.
