xps sandwich foam

Has anybody tried 1/8" or 1/4" xps foam inplace of divinicell,balsa,etc. for sandwich foam? I’m sure the problems with shear strength would be eliminated as there is not much movement in such a small thickness and the gassing problems should miniminze also.

any thoughts?

The Solomon boards are built with 1/2 inch 100 high load Dow. Stuff is pretty stout but I’m not sure it’s as good as some of the other structural foams out there.
