O.K. I think it was sunday while doing a set of hand made glass ons,remember I dont cotton to either glassing in particular or three fins so I am not of calmness,the guy on the radio has an old blues show at that time…after some obligatory obscure stuff here comes the purity and clarity of Sonny Terry and Brownie Mc Gee …now these guys are clear tones and simple chords and the nape hair raising chicken skin factor is not off the scale but clearly inspirational …and how is this parrallel to this surfboard expression? well these guys dont expressly inspire awe but they inspired me to go up to my room and pick up that guitar that sits forlornly in the corner and play it…I didnt do it… but that harmonica doing the train whistle and hooting on the side, man thats the stuff ,go to the hea-v meatal; zone with the lights or frank sinatra we are relagated to whorship status dancing or sitting but not up and at the I CAN TOO trajectory…them pop tarts from cobra , tri-fin licencing the innumerable identified ‘’ you cant touch this ‘’ design revolutions from men behind the curtain insist that technology is finally putting industry in charge of destiny in perhaps the last organic design venue in the known world,[nobody makes their own shovels any more] but if brownie McGee and sonny terry start playing thet familar chord progression may that blood start to flow and inspire…same thing with that machine generated stuff no residual inspired vibe for me but show me a Yater signature model or an old Jacobs Takeyama or any hand made job of literally any quality and I am off on that creative high ready to do it …to me its all about an inspired state with out that nothing is right with it everything is ok… ambrose …grinding fins for the last time on these boards any way
