Zeppelin rail

The new Surfer’s Journal has a McTavish article that mentions a “Zeppelin rail.” Haven’t seen the article yet, does anyone know what these are? Thanks Rob Olliges

Sounds like the next big thing to me coming from the mctavish camp. Each year it seems they come out with an amazing new twist on the previous years boards so without a doubt you will need trade in your board with broom handle rails and get on the zeppelin rails to experience “endless progressiion”. I liked an article a few years ago mentioning that Bob still hand shapes every one of the boards with the big M logo and they number 1500 plus per year. With weekends and holidays taken into account that means a man in his 60’s is pumping out 6+ HANDSHAPED boards per day. What an effort. Can anyone else here write their name that many times a day?Have there been any changes to the power extractor bottom shape?? Ride on…

i think bob just finishes off the boards and there are a few ghosts around the factory.

He also must have a portal to Just Lonboards. Because Pat shapes the US McTavish line. http://www.ancientartsurfboards.com

Becker shapes 11 boards a day, 4 days per week with his Rockwell. Sluggo

Bob obviously doesn’t shape the USA boards, but he still shapes the aussie boards in numerous quantity each year. He’s not much of a business man but a damn fine shaper, thus he lets those with know-how run the ship while he does what he does best.

Phil Becker-does something like 12+ boards a day by hand…

Wow! …?? He must have some sharp fingers.

ha-ha! Spence.yeah, his nickname is… Phillip sizzorhands…
