Hi there, I have posted a few times and am quickly becoming addicted to this sight. I have just shaped my first stick which is currently being glassed. I probably wouldn’t have undertaken the project without the information here. Anyway, between my dad and myself I have access to a fairly diverse collection of boards…everything from a Hynson Redfin to a lost/Mayhem thruster and many in between. I have one board that is quite interesting. It is an Ace from Ocean Beach and I believe the design is called a “zinger”. It has 5 fins. 3 are triangular bonzer style and 2 are kind of mini cutaways. I was wondering if anyone else here has any insight as to this design. This particular board is a 10’2" concave nose log. I bought it for my wife 5 years ago in hopes that she would learn to surf. I have ridden the board a few times…it turns really well for its’ size, it is just more board that I am used to. I can post pics if anyone is interested. Thanks.
