Hi All, I recently acquired the board in the attached photos in Massachusetts. I’m told by the orginal owner that he purchased it in the late 60’s. I’m curious if anybody might be able to pinpoint the year, and/or has any other information? Thanks in advance, any insight is greatly appreciated.
Along the stringer it says : “No. 193” and then “10522”.
I’d say it’s from 1966-67, at the latest. Any newer and it would have a WAVESET box, more than likely.

Thanks SammyA. Yes, I own Levitate in MA. This is a board thats been in the rafters of the shop forever. It was on display with the understanding that the original owner could always take it back if he’d like, untill a month or so ago when him and I made a trade for the board. I pulled it down today and dusted it off to see what exactly I had acquired.
Nice score. What would the monetary value of the trade items be worth?

I’d say I traded $700 value for the board. What do you think this board is worth? I’m not necessarily trying to sell it, but just curious what you and others might think.
Better, more comprehensive photos would be needed to give any kind of valuation. For instance, is the board as yellow as it looks, or is that just bad lighting?
Sammy, that is yellow tint. I am familiar with another G&S Frye in Ma with yellow tint. ( not sun tanned ) Nice looking stick I wish it was mine. Very nice score.
Nice board, brings back memories I had a G&S Hynson model when I was a kid in the late 60’s in San Diego, no leash, no wetsuit, and lots of swimming…
