I recently inherited a 1962 Gordie Noserider form my Uncle. The board needs some work and I am planning on restoring it to it's original glory. My uncle and his friend decided long ago to remove the orignal wood fin (ouch) and replace it with a fin box. Needless to say, he lost the original wood fin somewhere along the rode. I have come across a few images of the original fin, which appears to be someting like a D-fin with a flatten top. I can't find a template out there anywhere for the fin. One of my main goals is remove the fin box, foil out a new wood fin and glass it on the board during the restoration process. Does anyone out there have a template for this fin or know where I can track one down? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have included a few shots fo the board. The blue and yellow boards are two 1978 Gordies that I inherited at teh same time. I am planning on restoring these as well once i finish the noserider.
