Those two boards are insane!!!
So a few days ago I saw another McCoy Cheyne model from the 80's, classic white model which was unusual at the time of flouro sprays. So I nabbed it for a few hundred $.
8/10 double flyer pintail with same logos as the Red/Yellow one above.
Photobuckets screwing me around so the pics will came later.
I wonder if I can snare a third one ??
Heres the pics...
Side by side with the first one, it has the same logos and looks to be a slightly earlier model.
LOA- 6 foot 3.

The back half is a little fuller and if you rounded off the flyers it'd have a tail shape like a modern McCoy Nugget. Looks like it has a tail patch too.

I remember that they were called "no-nose" and this white one has a slightly less wide nose.

Theres a few litte dings and scratches but I'll fix them up and give one board to each of my sons.
In about 40 years time.
Surffoils,
There is a guy called Bucko who does surf boad repair and restoration near where i live (Budgewoi on the Central Coast,NSW) who has the board that (the pink/orange checker board) is third from Pam behind her, in the photo on the first page. He was selling all these boards on his front lawn and I thought I would take a look i think he had another zap as well but the board in the photo was ‘signed’ by Geoff for Pam. I told him he should try to get in contact with her to see if she wanted it back. He said he had tried but to no avail.
His number is 0422304078. It was a while ago now, you seem the sort that might be interested (or someone else might be) it was a few months ago and he wasn’t selling it cheap but… just putting it out there
Surffoils, was the board the one on ebay Australia? I can’t view swaylocks pictures on this computer at work (Police) but I was watching a Cheyne model board, wanted it but couldn’t afford the freight to NZ. Were you the only bidder? I remember veing gutted when I saw it went (relatively) cheap and i missed out on it.
We have ‘trade me’ here in NZ, I would have got a real cheap Michael Peterson shaped board a while back but some Aussie kept bidding it up!
you only really enjoy the old boards if you get them cheap.
I saw the one Bucko had for sale but he wanted $5000.... It didnt have the original Zap fin.
I copied the fin template from this board when I owned it

So Im making a few copies for my own creations
Laminated ply for the look.

Yes it was me who bidded for that lonely board on E-bay, I saw one go for $1600 a few years ago but that was the same as the red/yellow one.
$5000, holy-crap no wonder he didnt mention what he wanted for it.
Sorry I mentioned it
