New resin on a hot day, lamination, is a bad combo to try a two tone resin lam, and forget the stickers on the fin boxes until after you have mixed both batches of resin.
Just charge it.
YEW!!!
Now there are a but load of photos cause i haven’t posted any of the glassing and i just did the rough sanding of the board.
Its a groveller and I’m going hipster, BAHAHAHAHA, so no leggie plug, for now…
Is there any way to load more than one pic at a time?
the order of pics,
1 new resin
2 fin boxes
3 bottom lam, all plans of stylish two tone, died with fast kicking resin
4 resin dam, take 1
5 the plan on the top was determined by the bottom “slapper” job.
6 bottom after various filler coats, one gerneral and one over the fins with tape for a hard edge resin dam
7 top outline before sanding,
8 my sanding bay
8 after rough sand.
Just shape the tail, a solid wet sand and some form of sealer coat, contemplating a resinhead style auto paint gloss coat but I don’t have a gun for my compressor yet, so will se what happens.
Well ive surfed it twice now, both times its been small, so small that i probably wouldn’t have gone out on another board but i had a blast.
paddles really well, but took a little to get used to witht he 5’0" length.
REALLY LIGHT, it was an experiment to see how the super light and soft foam would go with a 4x4 top and 4 bottom, and there are already deck depressions. but no worse than a 4x4 PU board.
unfortunately i haven’t conviced my fiance to come and take a pic or two just yet.
the pics are pretty obvious, pretty happy with the CET epoxy but it sets way faster and did not seep onto the foam as much as the general purpose epoxy so its not quite as robust.
i cant wait to get it in some real waves, but it has done some nice little pocket hooks and a few slow speed but share cutbacks and a few little nose rides for kicks…
