2nd Hot Coat

I might have made my hot coat or sanding coat too thin and the cloth is comming through in places, can I put a 2nd hot coat or sanding coat on after I have sanded the board.

Sure. You can add as many as you want. Seriously though, if you are planning on doing a gloss coat, if you laid that down thick enough you might be able to get away with that. Or if the spots are really bad you could just go over the spots that are really bad. Or you could simply hot coat the whole board a second time. See, you have options. Options are good!

hi, I always use a 2nd. hotcoat. I use UV-resin. I dont mind touching the cloth at the first hotcoat. First hotcoat i sand with 80 grid, the 2nd. with 220/hard scotch-brite disc/fine scotch-brite disc /polish. greetings

My first 3 boards all had 2 hotcoats, and the next 2 would have, but I put on gloss. Then a magic day came, when my laps layed down flat, and with the help of basting, I had a flat surface to lay my next layer of glass against. Never give up.
