If you think it’s drained enough to fix, first patch the hole area with bondo stype stuff, or epoxy and chopped glass or Q cell mix. Then to make it strong, you have to glass at least two layers from 3" up the deck to 2" down the bottom, wrapping it well saturated, hotcoated, sanded, and another coat of epoxy.
ok, I’ll try it.
where did you get the wood for your stringer?
went to home depot of course.
I didn’t want to spend thirty bucks for a 8x4 birch ply thing that I was only going to use four inches off of a side, so I bought these eight foot strip things that were about four inches wide, and .25 inches thick that were used for panneling. I cut the last foot and a half off one, panneled it withi the other peice so I would have enough for my rocker, and it worked out well.
Made of pine, not the easiest thing to shape, but it worked.
Hope that helps.
well today I cut the foam in half that I had glued and traced on my template. Still need to go get my wood for my stringer, and then glue that in, and after that hopefully get my outline cut out by the end of the day. Any recomendations to glue the stringer wtih? Five minute epoxy or just tacky glue like I have used for the rest of it? Here are some of the before pictures I whithout the template on them…
and the third one is for fun, just something I made messing around with photoshop.
You might want to take a break from shaping and work on that wallpaper ![]()
I don’t really like it but my parents do… (im 14)
