Hi, Just wondering if anyone had any comments or tips on this template for a wooden board. I’m going to CAD it and cut the parts with a CNC machine but don’t want to have it completely wrong before starting. My plan is to shape the tail from a block of balsa off the end slice, similar to the method Grain use.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. The only thing I would do differently if it were mine is to flatten out the dome deck up in the nose, and just keep the nose thin and flat, kinda like you did in the tail. My first homemade board was a hollow wood fish, and I domed the deck like you have it. And later I wished I had a little less volume up front for paddling into waves, and I like the aesthetic of a flatter nose too. That’s a personal preference, but otherwise, looks like the board should work.
