got me a 5 fin bonzer,it was used in good condition. The diminsions are 7’2"x22.75x2.75. I paid 405.00 for it. This is a Malcom campbell board from 2003. Do you think 405 is reasonable?
Just had to have it. Now just need to ride it.

Hi Chipfish, I have no camera working suitable. Seems I still owe you a pic of the 3 fin bonzer I made, haven’t forgoten just no camera. I do have a email with the pics but couldn’t figure out how to get it on here. If you want to send me your email I should be able to forward it.

Hi Rooster-
Good pick up. $405 for a used clear is bordering on the high side, but when you enjoy it, you won’t care.
What are your body specs? Are you a big guy? I’m not too familiar with the square tail egg in such a large size. Looks very versatile.
Nice looking board. I’ve picked up a few bonzers in my day, mostly from Ventura Surf Shop. I like the clear ones, because they’re lighter and generally underpriced. The removable system should serve you well, if you like to travel.
The only issue with the some of the bonzers out of Ventura Surf Shop, is that the glassing is very weak. I think they use Waterman’s guild and a couple other VC/SB glassers, but every once in a while, they get a Moonlight. I got spider cracks, dents, etc. in the first week of every board I’ve bought from them. But hey, the boards are meant to be surfed.
Good luck, hope you rock it.
saw a cool bonzer @ ventura surfshop the other day, it was one of the moonlight campbells (sp?)…looked like it was maybe a mid 6’-er, cant remember…too bad ill never actually SHOP there again!

I would consider it’s a fair price if the board included all the removeable fins and had a gloss coat, and if the board was virtually unridden maybe once or twice.
Rooster,
The cost of something is what you are willing to pay to have it. Not what we think. Looks like a fun board. It might be a magic board for you. Hope so. The other Rooster(Mike).
thanks everyone for the input. I am fine with what i paid, just wondering if it was fair. Sidestreet you are right on it about the glassing being soft on the top. Very fun board. Now it will be a template to.
