6’6 six channel single

Hi guys, brand new today to swaylocks from Adelaide,South Australia.

im looking to shape a 6’6 six channel single fin. Made to surf six to eight foot south/west Australian waves.

ill be purchasing a pre shape…( sorry purists, I’m trying super hard to get better).

my question is… cutting the channels. I’ve Never done channels and I’m looking for some guidance.

I haven’t done lots of channels, but what I did was draw faint lines where I wanted the channels, put masking tape on the foam on the outside edge of the channel to use as a guide, then used a curved edge sanding block to cut in the channels. Goes pretty quick, so take it easy with the block.
