60's and 70's 'relics'...

attached, photos of a couple of boards I was fortunate enough to borrow from friends a while ago… unfortunately, they didn’t want to sell them !!

From the '70’s, a Shaun Tomson twinny, and a Mark Richards twinny. Fun fun fun…

From 1969, a Wilderness hull bottom, s-deck 6’10 with 50/50 rails. I rang Rob Conneeley for advice on how to ride it [I find it difficult to ride.] But I’ll persevere…

Rob rode HIS at sucking Angourie, and Margaret River!! [I rang him, because it had ‘Rob Coneeley surf shop bondi’ on the logo, and ‘designed by George Greenough’. [I also spoke to George, but not really kneeboards, these models !!] It was great to hear him talk about fins, Richie West, Ted Spencer, and ‘dolphin glide’… man, I wish I’d had a tape in the phone, he’s such a WEALTH of wisdom, and information !

I hope 'State of S ’ will come to perth, west australia , hopefully supported by ‘dolphin glide’… two films I’d LOVE to see!!

 okay, enjoy....
