Today I picked up a nearly new Nugget for a very reasonable price. It’s a Surftech Tuflite, (yeah, yeah, yeah…let’s not go into the evils of ST). It has Futures finboxes and comes with what appear to be generic 4 3/4" black plastic fins. I’m going to try these out initially but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for better quality Futures? Also, has anyone tried a different setup on this board such as replacing the tri-fin config with the Gary McNab twin fin FT1 with small trailer? That made a world of difference on my Yancy Spencer fish.

Those ST don’t ride anything like poly nuggets, but I have heard that model is fun. Try the twin fins with small trailing fin. I always liked that set up on my old Zaps.
I’ll definitely give both the McNab and the Vector hatchet a try. Will repost after I’ve had a chance to test both.
I have until Oct to get this baby wired. The plan is to use it as my travel board in Hawaii. Will be in Kauai for a week and Oahu for three more days. Bernie- we have to get together. I’d be stoked to meet you and your brother and return some of that Aloha that you have given my family.
