So I got a hold of a template for a 7’1" Wayne Lynch single fin, super 70s style with a wide nose and very pulled in pin tail. I’m making the board now and trying to keep it as true to the original design as possible. I’m kind of hung up on what fin to use with it. I was looking at the True Ames Velzy fin, but need some suggestions on size, 8.5"-10"? any input would help, thanks
Wide nose + pulled in tail = the “tracker” designs that were aimed at tube riding. A 12" or 13" tail doesn’t need a 10" fin. You’d be good to go with a Brewer-type template in the 7.1/2" - 8.1/2" range.
why not get a wayne lynch template fin from true ames?
