8' Skip Frye Sector Connector - What can you tell me?

A friend found this on eBay (UK), got excited and sent me the link

Skip Frye Sector Connector Copy 8ft x 23" x 3"

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Surfboard-Skip-Frye-Sector-Connector-Copy-8ft-x-23-x-3-/250985586266?pt=UK_Surfing&hash=item3a6fe81e5a#ht_1226wt_952

Did a Google search but could not find any info on this board. I am no expert but assume that if its a Skip Frye design its good.

Has anyone ridden one?

Do you agree with the description?

What are the critical features? Rocker? Rail shape? Bottom? etc

Would it be worth trying to make a board like this?

I tried riding same friend's 7'6" Fish (not a SF) the other day and really liked it so the 8 footer has got my interest.

Hi
I’m not convinced the advert is correct - Cordorouy lines is an online longboard magazine here in the uk.
Seabase in Newquay make Cordorouy branded boards - most of the ones Ive seen are retro classic longboards - replicas of yesteryear…may be worth emailing seabase for info on the board.
Cheers

hi , the ebay advert is/nt quite right , the board is a courdroy not courdroy lines , courdroy is /was a retro label by john issacs ,

the boards where shaped glassed finished by phil hodge ,

i saw the board on ebay and mentioned it to phil the next day when i saw him in the sea , he rembered building the board but did/nt agree about the skip frye parts of the add ,

its just a big fish is what he said ,

that said phil is one of the best if not the best board builders in the south west so whatever  the board is i am 100% sure it will have been constructed  to an exeptionally high standard ,

a few written words about john and phil, nothing to do with me at all but it gives an idea of his skills

Skip Frye is a world renown surfing and shaping legend based out of San diego California...thats the USA.  Either you love his boards or hate them.  Google his name and see what come up for him.

But that board is not a Skimp Fries..Only Skip shapes Freys.  If you want that kind of a Skip Fried, then shape it yourself.   Personally i hate twin skeg fishes, way too old school for me. I like to do turns and what not.

Alos Frye isn't shaping much anymore so if you want one of his boards you going to pay quite a bit more now a days.  Some fools pay over $1,000 for his boards.

Corduroy is now Squire out of Newquay. Great Boards, Top quality and nice guys. This one is a few years old as i tried to buy it when it was first on ebay about 5 or 6 years ago. I believe that a few have shaped for them, Diplock, Seabase and Beavis. I saw the board in Loose fit Devon a while after and something is in my mind about the deck, i may be wrong though so get a picture for pressure dents (as i say dont quote me on it, just something in my mind). I actually have a very similar one made by the same people. I saw similar as i cant remember the rocker on that one but mine is wide, fat and flat. still 8ft . Goes great. I love the board. Ive had 3 or 4 from corduroy/squire and cant recomend them enough. Absolute Gents. Mine is Volan wrapped (i think i went for Volan because of the deck on the orange one).

Pm me for more info. I dont have a computer at the moment so only check in now and again but i will do my best to help.
