Thought you guys might enjoy this finely tuned craft…
Been trying to get this board from Pat for years, and finally got him to take me seriously this last winter. Well, parking in his front yard for several days may have had something to do with it…no just kidding lol.
Seriously though, this year I told him I really needed it and he was cool enough to fit it into his schedule. Had to walk away from near perfect 8 to 10 foot sunset this trip as I just was not prepared equipment wise with a 6’10 as my biggest board. This one will live in hawaii so that next winter I’ll have no excuse.

Special thanks to bammbamm808 for the superb glassjob…and the pics. I owe ya one bruddah!
I think it’s got a mild double. I’ll ask bammbamm…
Ahh. The glass job is decent…serviceable, but nothing uncommon. I don’t do too much retail stuff, but mostly customs. Just gotta worry more about fins being on straight and good geometry than every single little speck and iota of weave showing. Photos make everyone’s work look good. Ain’t that right Bud? Can’t tell a damn thing until it’s in your hands in good sunlight.
The board is actually Pat’s deep single bottom to vee, with added rail rocker and extra forgiving forward rails to compliment. Correct me if I’m wrong, Pat. He knows Sunset boards like only a handful on earth, at most.
Used to see his boards in High-Tech on Maui. All very nice no matter the size. Lets not forget he shaped several plugs for Clark. I’ve still got a few Rawson Clarks. Saw avolan 7 plus footer in a shop in Lincoln City, Oregon last winter; just too broke or I would have bought it. Lowel
