Its been a while now since I was able to build myself a board so I wanted something special… I shaped myself a nice 9-6 and handed my daughter a few Posca pens and let her go for it on my rails and part of the deck where the pad ends… She’s 9 and my step son even got into it too… The results are artwork with love and I’m so stoked how enthusiastic they were about it. When she gets older she wants to learn how to use an airbrush… Along with my first ever board I’m keeping this one for the grand kids!!!

9’-6" x 27" x 4-1/8" 5 fin boxes, glassed and gloss polished by Ed Searfoss… Ahwooooo!!! My little board painter…
Dang, that’s Cool! I agree with the t-shirt idea. Something about those designs & colors that looks really good with your PaddleSurf logo - you should do shirts with her art. I’d rock one
My daughter is stoked you guys liked her work. She especially liked the comment about the party. Thanks for all the kind words. She’s very stoked!
Surfed the board today for the first time in Town. It worked OK in tiny waves at the first place I went to. Then I got another spot with overhead waves and it worked so awesome! I tried it with this fin set up and its very quick to go rail to rail and you can really lay it out for big speed carves and snaps… I’m gonna have a tough time trying quads on this because I love the feel of it now!
8" Greenough Center with Future 375 Pivot on the sides… They were meant for rear quads and are double foiled. Very responsive… I’ll try it again tomorrow… Quads will come later after I get bored of this… Aloha
That thing is sweet!!! I love all the details, the rails, the stringer, etc…Looks really cool. Did you have them color with pen on the actual foam or did they do it after you did the glass/resin job?
I prepared the shaped blank with a thined out spackle coat then they went at it with Posca pens before glass… Ben Aipa saw it today and I told him my kids did the coloring… He said this is what its all about… I agree…
