Well so much for the pictures

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share with those interested in giving this thread a look the thruster longboard I had Greg made me for here in San Diego.

I’ve ridden it in knee/shin high stuff for the last 4 days and then about a week and a half ago I was able to get it out in some head high grindy beach break waves and had a blast on each of those outtings. I can say with 100% confidence that I’ve got this thing dialed in and am really excited to see where I can go with it.

The cool thing to me about this board is that it is literally just like his shortboard thruster(that is obvious and could go without saying…however, with that being said) in the way you can get in that 1st pump to put the electricity in the fins and then haul ass down the line and then just go floating across or up to hit the many sections that’ll pop up infront of you with what seems like the greatest of ease. I never lost any speed on this and found that the board will create and get up to speed with almost no effort at all. I had a couple of waves yesterday where I started out with a really fun cutback into the foam ball and then pumped down the line and floated a couple of thigh high sections and then had a really fun off the lip to close out the wave. To go and get the tiny waves I caught yesterday and get in some really fun turns and even a few legit nose rides was way more than I thought was going to be possible considering the conditions.

This is a pseudo review/stoke sharing thing for me so feel free to ask me any specific questions on this design. I’m really hoping Greg sends one of these out for the AB3 here in March just so other guys can get a taste of this.

Thanks-

Zach

Looks like a wicked board! I’m hoping to shape a longboard this summer as I had to strip/reshape/reglass my old beater longboard so now my only small wave board is my fish… fun, but I want to dangle my toes now and then. I’m keeping my eyes on nice looking longboard designs so I can steal dims…

Sounds like fun, and looks great!

congrats, nothing better than total satisfaction with a brand new board…

your work is amazing. keep up the good work
