Just picked this up over the weekend, 9’2 x 23 love this board, looking it over I dont see any numbering on the board, has ine small logo on the deck and a huge one on the bottom by the nose. Just curious on a yearo f the board.
It has no dimensions or signature because virtually NO ONE did that back then. The board is most likely from 1965-67, thereabouts. If you look really carefully you should find a serial number someplace on the stringer. Hansens typically had a serial number. Some shapers added a symbol before or after the number to denote who shaped it. Mr Bill Thrailkill can probably shed more light on this one. He shaped at Hansen’s around that time.
IMHO,
Correct period piece.

The “Doyle designed”
fits the peak of production.
A real big step at the time.
and again IMHO before the 2nd Performer by Dewey.
Should add.
That if not mistaken
it was
“Doyle designed, Miller tested”
The board is most likely a 1965, or 1966 production board. All boards, during my five years shaping there, were assigned a production number. All shapers used a designater, so that it was known who shaped a board. A quality control measure. Look on the deckside, where the balsa stringers contact the glass tailblock, that is where the required number will be located. It may be quite difficult to see, if it was done with pencil. A good photo of that area, would be very helpful.

From what I know they made thousands of 50-50s. Many of them were purchased by shops and concessions and used as rental boards. It is not uncommon to see a mid 60s 50-50 with a big block number stencilled on it. Indicates a rental board
no numbers at all looked at the tail top and bottom nothing, if it was in pencile it may have faded out
