Foamdust, thanks for your reply. My Dextra is NOT a popout, although all other Dextras from this era that I’ve heard about are. Folks all seem to assume, automatically, that this Dextra is a popout, but I tink the “Custom” lablel on it differentiates it from its less prestigous brethren. That’s why I think it may have “worth”, perhaps even more than $800. (I’m in hopes that someone else who is reading this will be able to help shed light on DEXTRA COMPANY HISTORY and/ or on this specific board). Thank you so much for responding to my post and someday soon, when I learn how to use Ebay, I will try out your excellent suggestion of posting my Dextra Custom with a very high reserve to see what people are willing to pay for this. In the meantime, if you run across anyone who knows anything about Dextra, the company owners, shapers, riders, etc, I’d appreciate if you could hook me up.
Balsa, Thanks for your reply concerning my 7’10" Surfboards Hawaii Aquarius series. Thanks especially for the shot from your archives. Mine does not look at all like that one. Mine is pintailed and way more egg shaped. The rail is round all the way around, not turned down in the tail like in your pic. Same fin though. Also same logo so I think mine is a different model within the same series. Who could I contact about Surfboards Hawaii, perhaps Billy Hamilton?? Anyone know.
