999 or 666

666--Well it could be, if you turned it upside down.  So you guys better beware. Although.  I guess after this post  it will be 1000 and I will not be the Anti-Sway.   Which means;  All is well.  Carry on.

In honor of the event…some metal for this modern era of schlock music.

My odometer on the seal slayer 2000 turned 66,666. It's a good thing because it's a 1990, and that means it's low mileage. I'm getting it repainted because I show it love....does that mean I love 666....No, I just love the seal slayer 2000...Does that make me a devil worshiper?  No ...Just a seal hater.

But you just gave me a great idea on how to flush out the bad seals in the rookery....stay tuned.

if 6 were 9 ?

I have a combination of drink and candy bar or chips that I buy occasionally and the total comes out to 6.66

i love that song Herb…

was listening to it today matter of fact

Good one Herb.   Was just listening to Jimi recently.

my fav varmit rifle in a reminington 597 magnum in .17hmr semi-auto,8 shot.

with a 10 x 50 scope mounted on it i can hit any dime sized object out to and over 500 yards........repeatedly,consistantly.

my shootin'buddys don't like to go plinkin' with me when i bring it..............it makes them look bad..............and most or heck, all of them are rifle champions..........lol.

can you guess when i bought it ?

and what the last three numbers ........ on the serial numbers are ?

666..........purchaced from fowler's gun room in santa ana,ca......... june 6,2006.

kinda strange .........huh.

it's only a number..........that nice thing is you add one and it changes.

We have a shark bait annoying people where I surf now.

She likes to bite and tug leashes and actually tried to jump in someones lap one day.

We also have a large amount of dolphins as of late creating havoc as they drop in on everyone evil dolphins!

We need to go shooting sometime Herb.  I used to use the old 222 like that. That 17 HMR looks interesting.  Does it work well in the semi auto?

Reminds me of this board

most of the 17hmr's in semi are jam city but this one is sweet.no jams unless it gets real dirty like after a couple hundred rounds(a little oil solves that). the only draw back is the magazine design(dealing w/ a rimmed cartridge).when loading the mag,but all it takes is abit of attention and it does load fine .

sweet thing is that you can pound 8 shots in about a half second to a second, and keep it on target because of a no recoil,no muzzle jump situation. which puts this rifle on the elite list.

if i was going into a sniper situation.............i would want this rifle.

the specs on the book for atf/ara reads as a 2550fps round..............but that's a "d" rated scale............out of the muzzle of a 20" barrel (my 597 rem.) by chrono.............it flies them out over 3500fps,and with the higher end ,expensive stuff ..............about 4000.my 17hmr revolver w/a 2" barrel produces speeds from the muzzle of about 2500...........superfast.

i have a 22-250...........that's about those speeds.

there's nothing wrong w/a 222 though ...........fired several of them as well as the 222mag.

both cals kickbutt and have a very, very flat trajectory..............just as the 17hmr.

i believe after the m-10 in 7.62 was built ,the m-16 was originally to be chambered in a 222.........but stoner opted for the 223.

ya i love to shoot.............if not in this life....... maybe the next my man.................

btw...............dale velzy and i rarely talked about surfboards or surfin' much..............we talked more about ridin',huntin' and guns.

solo,

the 597 rem is no longer in production(i believe).

the magnum model are few and far between, and most are in 22mag.

if you run across a 597mag in 17hmr..........buy it!

then shoot it............if you don't like it,i buy it off you for 100% of the costs.

savage and mossberg make great bolts in this cal.and big-5 has sales on them from time to time.

the price on those two bolts are cheaper than a 10/22 ruger.

and remember................gun control means hitting your target !

or it's not the gun ..........it's the shooter.

herb

now if a six.............................................turned out to be nine......................i don't mind................i don't mind.

if all the hippies cut off all there hair........................................i don't care.........................i don't care.

never hear surf music .........again.

I just ran into a deal on an Lee Enfield 1916 in great condition.  Nice shooter. I have only stretched it to 250 so far.  Bought a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag in a package deal with ammo.  Gave $600 for both.

never liked the number but still jam some Black Sabbath now and then.  Love the 2x6 oz. deck with 6oz. bottom, refer to it as the "18" wrap.   I don't like the night marchers either.

The Beast

did anybody catch the recent TSJ with the story at the beginning about surfing with the devil and God at Malibu? had me crackin' up
