I just want to say thanks to Greg, Terry, Ken, Hank, Daddio, and anyone else who was involved in the Seminar on epoxy. I think that for those of us who have been on Swaylock’s following the epoxy thing, it really gave an opportunity to see all the things we have been reading about. After watching Greg lam that board, it makes you wonder why anyone would use polyester.
I think that there were some people there who have been in the industry for years and had no idea what is going on in the epoxy/eps world. The 2.5 and 3.0 eps seems like it is overcoming one of the last hurdles to getting people to accept epoxy.

i won’t be completely sold until i can do abstract resin work with it. but in the meantime, it certainly has its applications.
The only problem with abstract resin work and epoxy is that abstract resin work usually has alot of waste and that really drives the cost of when using epoxy.
Sure epoxy is more expensive in general but use normally use so much less that the net cost is not that high, but with the abstracts then you back to waste and cost.
As a home builder I think the cost is worth the benefits (including the environment).

You can also glass with epoxy, then glass over with poly resin to do tint works and all that . . . or just refigure out tint work and colors with epoxy resin . . .
