I too would like others’ opinions and experiences with CF boards. The CF website, including the FAQ section apppears somewhat dated and lacking in descriptive information. Amazing looking glass jobs though. CF appears to be so successful maybe the company doesn’t need to update the site - they have more orders then they can fill. Some consider them the best LB’s built - period. Thanks for asking the question joshmosh. I’ll also await replies.
hi josh, thanks for the interest in the boards and thanks to the others for the kind words. i’ve been a little busy and getting in the water some so site updates have been limited to pictures of new boards.
here’s a quick update. i’ve discontinued the mello yello and the comet to make way for some new models. the nova and supernova are next on the chopping block because i believe the newer “malibu foil”(mario quiros model) covers those two and is the next step in that genre.
the “malibu foil”, the “v bottom”, the “device II”, and “the burner” are the new models. they’re well tested over the past year or two and i’m excited about them. give me a call if you want a rundown josh, i’m updating the site slowly to reflect the changes.
to clarify model inspiration, my personal approach is to use the features that were standard in the late 60’s and mix and match into something new based on the desired outcome. research and development(surfing) and feedback from friends and customers is what keeps me stoked on making boards.
hi skip, i see sally’s been killing it, say hello. gene
Gene, thanks for the reply. Living out on the East coast (NJ), it’s a rare treat to see one of your boards. I only know 2 people in my area who have Cooperfishes. I was recenly in Malibu and saw lots of people with your boards there and the workmanship (not to mention the color) is just amazing.
Anyway, I fully appreciate mixing the old with the new and producing something that’s pleasing to the eye and fun to ride.
