A FUN sign project... skateboard related....

Hey guys… i wanted to share a fun project i just finished. The job consisted of a few small surfboards… and two 16ft x 44" wide “paddleboard” signs which here done by the guy i work for. My part was the three 7’ x 24" skateboards.

I used a 3/4" sign ply for the decks, pu foam for the wheels, and a typical pine 2x8 to cut and shape the trucks. I finished it off with paint, full digital print on the bottom, and grip tape on the deck. It was my first project quite like this and i had a blast doing it.

I’ll tell the rest with pics…

Here’s a pic of the raw deck cut routed and drilled with shaped trucks and wheels.

…a pic of the setup i used to turn the wheels

Assembly line…

Finished bottoms & deck…

For a little perspective…

Finally… me all stoked at the finished product.

NEXT PROJECT!!!

Coolest thing I have seen around here in a long time.

wow, those are the bomb

yeah, but how sharp can they turn!

very cool

I think I saw pics of laird riding one of those down Mauna Kea

That may have been a mountainboard.  He had MBS make him a custom frame board that was very long.

Sick !

I only hope you charged them enough !
